Jun’21 Holiday Program – Week 3 🐜
For this week, we have shared a famous story of “The Elephant and The Ant” with our children. It is a very good story that teaches children some important life lessons. Through this story, the children learnt to help and respect others. They knew that underestimating or making fun of others is nothing but disrespecting people, and it could lead to their own downfall like how the elephant did in the story.
The children were very inspired by the story and they extended their learning with a series of activities related to it. Let us take a look at their wonderful work!
By using egg cartons, the children have created many lovely models of ants. They also enjoyed themselves by role-playing with their little ‘ants’.
The children went on to explore about the habitat of ants and they did an illustration of it.
Besides that, the children were engaged in gross motor activities which allowed them to explore animal movement, such as crawling like ants and stomping like elephants.
As Father’s Day is approaching, our little ones have been working hard on their DIY projects too. Some of them have been helping with the preparation of banners, while others were working on their coasters. The preschoolers have also prepared their favourite songs and dance movement for their daddies.
With that, we would like to take this opportunity to wish all fathers a “Happy Father’s Day”! May you enjoy this special day with your family, and continue to inspire your little one with all your awesomeness!
