Learning about Air Transportation!
This week’s lessons and activities were all about Air Transportation, completing our series on the different types of transportation vehicles! Let’s take a look at the exciting activities the kids took part in! 😁
Children are seen here using ice-cream sticks to model the shapes of airplanes. Through activities like this, knowledge about the different components that make up a plane are reinforced. Children are prompted to recall and apply what was taught in class in an interesting and fun way!
Other than airplanes, children learnt about different types of air transport vehicles as well, such as Hot Air Balloons! Children were really excited to learn about this much less common vehicle! 😁 They were thoroughly engaged in creating their very own versions of them.
Our project work activities on Fridays often include big-scale art creations in order to encourage children to work together with each other. We also want to give children the opportunity to have the freedom to express themselves creatively! Look at the amazing piece of work completed by this group of children 😊
Some children had the opportunity to take their exploration of air transport vehicles outdoors! In the following pictures, children were given pieces of paper to fold paper airplanes. Then, they were engaged in a mini-competition to see whose airplane flew the furthest!
Trained and experienced teachers in our infant team curate age-appropriate activities to stimulate our infants’ five senses. This week, our infants got the opportunity to explore with different colours! They had a lot of fun exploring and mixing them 😊
In lieu of Easter Day, children created Easter Bunny crafts in class as well! 😁
Some of our children also went to the SG Mobility Gallery launched by the Land Transport Authority for a field trip! It was a really enriching experience for them as they learnt about the different transport systems in Singapore and the future plans as well. Children gained greater insights on the behind-the-scenes that take place when running a transport system.
Thank you for joining us on this week’s learning experiences!
Stay tuned for next week’s update as children learn more about the importance of Physical Fitness! 😊
