Measures & activities during suspension period 😷
In view of the increasing number of locally transmitted COVID-19 cases in Singapore, our centres have suspended our general services from 8 April to 4 May 2020 in support of the circuit breaker measure. During this period, we are only open to serve a limited group of parents working in the essential service line without the help of alternative care arrangement.
Through this period, we have put a lot of emphasis on maintaining safe distancing among our staffs and children at the centres. For those children who continued to attend school for our limited services, they were kept a distance apart from their peers and teachers during routine and activity time.
To keep our children engaged with their learning at home, our talented teachers have also explored various method of conducting e-learning. To many of the teachers, it was their first time conducting such e-learning experience with the use of IT. It was a fun experience for them as they creatively gathered their ideas and teaching resources to deliver their learning objectives.
Despite being our first attempt conducting e-learning experiences, the children staying at home enjoyed learning through the videos thoroughly. We have received many encouraging words and appreciative messages from parents, in recognizing our effort of putting this up for their children. Thank you for giving us the motivation to keep striving in the midst of this suspension period.
We even received kind gestures from parents like Mummy Sharvelyn, who delivered prawn noodles and drinks to our colleagues.
In addition, our teachers, cleaners and cooks are also working very hard to disinfect the school. We strive towards providing a clean and safe environment for our children to learn in. Thank you everyone, not forgetting our centre leaders, for all their hard work!
To heighten the cleanliness of our centres, we even engaged professional agency to assist us with our sanitization.
We are doing our part to fight against COVID-19. Have you done your part? Let’s be socially responsible for ourselves and our children! Keep fighting! #SGUnited
