Mid Autumn Festival 🌝
For this week, we have celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival with our children. Children learn best when they are immersed in experiences. Learning about Mid-Autumn Festival is a great way of introducing various cultural activities present in Singapore and also getting our children interested in the Chinese traditions. It will help in keeping our treasured tradition alive within our community too.
Mid-autumn marks the end of harvest during the four seasons in a year. During this time, the moon is at its brightest and fullest, especially on this special day. Besides engaging our children in the touching story of Chang Er and Hou Yi, lantern is another feature of this festival which often captures the attention of our children.
We have encouraged our children to express their creativity through the making of their own paper lanterns. Check out on the lanterns made by our children!
We hope you had a great Mid-autumn festival celebration with your family and loved ones too!
