My Friends 👥
Making friends is a vital part of growing up, and it helps with the social and emotional development of children. Studies have shown that friendships enable children to develop their own identity and self-confidence. As such, preschool is one of the best places for children to learn and practice their socials skills.
Children start to play more with others at school, and they learn to take turns and share toys with their friends. This is how they begin to form friendships. The children will learn to understand the way how others may feel and the concept of ‘give and take’ in relationships. By having such interactions, children learn to meet the social needs of others and of their own.
For this week, we have explored on the topic of “Friendship” with our children. The younger children did a “Friendship colour mixing” collage with their friends. They have also made colourful friendship bracelets for their classmates.
The older children were involved in the construction of a football box game for their learning corner.
Our children had so much fun this week, learning about friendships and playing with their friends. Stay tuned for our adventure next week!
