National Day Celebrations 🇸🇬 2019
We commemorated our nation’s 54th Birthday this week in school! It was a really fun time for our children as we gathered and to celebrated our nation’s amazing achievements and progress 😁 We also celebrated each other as a Singapore is not what it is without our citizens living harmoniously with each other 😊
Our centres were vibrantly coloured as both children and teachers came fully dressed in the national colours of Singapore!
Some of our classes had prepared performances for the rest of the other children. In this picture, the Kindergarten Two children are reciting and dancing to the S-I-N-G-A-P-O-R-E song! They had rehearsed all week for this performance and was really proud to present it to the rest of their friends!
Our teachers also prepared a skit for our children, based on the folk tale of Sang Nila Utama and the founding of the island nation, Singapore. Our children really enjoyed the animated performance put up by our teachers! 😁
Our teachers also prepared presentations explaining the other founding fathers of Singapore, such as Sir Stanford Raffles and our late Mr Lee Kuan Yew. They also explained the meaning of the different colours and objects on our National flag.
Finally, no National Day celebrations would be complete without singing our favourite National Day songs as well as reciting our National pledge. Our children did so with such pride and excitement!
We would also like to take some time to appreciate some of the amazing artwork our children completed at home as part of their take-home project. Thank you parents for spending quality time with your children to enhance their learning experiences. It would not be the same without your support 😊
Once again, we would like to wish all a Happy National Day! We love our beautiful country and we wish for another year of safety and prosperity for our nation and citizens!
