Reduce, Reuse, Recycle 💚
For this week, we have extended on our children’s learning by reinforcing on the concepts of minimizing pollution, conserving resources and reducing waste. We have introduced the topic of reducing, reusing and recycling. Here are some snippets of the activities carried out.
For the younger children, they were making train models out of recycled materials, such as toilet rolls. Besides that, they were also given the opportunity to construct a little house, using cardboards.
The children have also created their own recycling bins in class. Through the use of these bins, they will practise on how to sort out the trash gathered in class effectively. From the trash collected, they will then be able to think of ways to reuse and recycle those materials, which contribute to the effort of protecting our environment.
The toddlers were engaged in the making of seed bombs with recycled paper. Upon completion, they were eager to bring their little seed bombs home to share with their parents.
The children have also created musical instrument out of the recycled materials found in school. They were happy with their creation and had lots of fun playing with it.
The teachers have also led children in creating plastic dolls and creative aprons from recycled materials.
It takes every little effort to protect our precious environment. Let’s do our part to go green!
